how much capital needed for gold trading?

In my view i would say trader should have minimum $1000 for trading gold and should not go for bigger lot. With $1000 investment trader should enter 1 or 5 cents lot some time when when you are confident then go for higher lot.

To be honest I am not sure as I do not feel comfortable with gold as the pips spread is 75 pips, I am not sure how to calculate in terms with the minimum lots size. Say I using 0.01 lot size, I would need Usd just to start a trade, and that is not calculating the amount need for my stop loss.
