hi friends!
i want to share the basics of forex trading in this thread. first of all we should know what is forex? FOREX stands for FOREING EX-CHANGE. Forex is the largest financial market in the world.

if u go to another country, u need to have the currency of that country. for example u go to Saudi Arabia, u need Riayal. on Jeddah airport u go to Currency Exchange Booth. There u give them Pakistani rupee and in ex-change they give u Saudi Riyal. first of all u need to know i give him 100pkr, how many riyal i will get?????? For example One Riyal is equal to 25 pkr. so u will get 4 riyal in exchange of 100pkr. so 0025.00 is the exchange rate of PKR/SAR.

What have u done here? u have sold pkr and bought SAR where PKR/SAR=0025.00. u have made one trade.


AND when u will be coming back to Pakistan, once again u have to go to Exchange Booth. now u have 5 riyal in ur pocket and u want PKR. U think that Booth wil give u 125pkr....but he gave u 120pkr....why? because now the exchange rate is PKR/SAR=0024.00. now u have sold SAR and bought PKR where PKR/SAR=0024.00. u have made another trade.

each and every country has its own currency with a special name. As our currency's name is Rupee so USA's currency in Dollar and Japan's currency in Yen. Every currency has its own sign and abbreviation. as USA DOLLAR is written as USD and its sign is $ and euro in written as Eur and its sign is €. here i give some famous currencies with their signs and abbreviations.

what does a currency pair represent?

hello friends.


in a pair there are two currencies. for example USDJPY. USA dollar vs Japanese yen. in this pair the USA dollar is a BASE CURRENCY and japanese yen is a QUOTE CURRENCY.

The price represents how much of the Quote currency is needed to get one unit of the Base Currency. For example the price of USDJPY is 119.63. It means that 119.63 japanese yen are needed to purchase 01 usa dollar.

PIP

Dear friends!

Pip is a very important word in the world of Forex... actually we all are in Forex to win Pipssssss.......

Pip is defined as the smallest change in the price of currency owr currency pair......for example the eurusd is traded at 1.1043 and it moves above to 1.1044, one can say that this pair goes up for one pip. Pip is also called Point...


PIP VALUE

Pip value depends on trade volume...
if ur trade's volume is 10 one pip will equal to 10$..
if ur trade's volume is 8 one pip will equal to 8$..
if ur trade's volume is 5 one pip will equal to 5$..
if ur trade's volume is 1 one pip will equal to 1$..
if ur trade's volume is .5 one pip will equal to .5$ (50cents)..
if ur trade's volume is .1 one pip will equal to .1$ (10cents)
if ur trade's volume is .01one pip will equal to .01$ (01cents)


BID PRICE

The price on which the broker is ready to buy a currency from a trader is bid price...it is always less than ask price...


ASK PRICE

The price on which the broker is ready to sell a currency to a trader is ask price...it is always higher than bid price...


Spread

u see that there is always two prices....one is called ask price and the other is called bid price.... for example the eurusd bid price 1.1043 and ask price is 1.1046. The difference of bid and ask price is called SPREAD....it is commission of the broker.

Balance
Jab aap ney koi bhi trade na kr rakhi ho tu aap ka total account aap ka balance hoga....owr es position mein aap ka balance of equity braber honge....

MARGIN

Wo raqam jo kisi aik trade k liye darkar hoti hai usko Margin kehtey hain.....aap apney trading terminal mein daikhin....balance k ba'd equity owr equity k ba'ad margin likha hota hai....aap ney jitni trades kr rakhi hone un mein jitni raqam invest hoti hai wo total margin hoti hai....mathematical example as as under....


eurusd=1.2527
on lot eur=100000
100000 eur=1.2527*100000=125270$

its mean that @1.2527 u can buy 01 lot eur against 125270$. and if u have a leverage of 1.100 then
100000=125270/100=1252.70$

so u have to pay 1252.70$ from your balance to buy 01 lot of eurusd @ 1.2527 with leverage of 1.100....this 1252.7 is your required margin for this trade...an when u go for this trade these 1252.70$ will be deducted from your balance...

for example your have 5000$ in your balance with no trade in progress.....and u go for above trade... now your balance will be 3747.30$ and your margin will be 1252.70$.......

EQUITY

Account balance +_PROFIT/LOSS=EQUITY

For example
ur balance=5000$
and u have one trade which is going with profit of 500$ then
equity=Account balance+profit=5000$+500$=5500$

and if your trade is going in loss of $500 then

equity=Account balance-loss=5000$-500$=4500$

FREE MARGIN

Free margin farq hai aapki equity owr margin ka........free margin aap ka nai trade shrou kerney k liye aapk available balance hai...let us understand it with a mathematical example......


Free margin=equity-margin

let us suppose
Account balance=$500
Value of open trade=margin=250$
profit=50$ then
equity=account balance+profit=$500$+50$=550$

and
free margin=equity-margin=$550-250$=300$

so at this point your available balance to start new trade is 300$........hope you understand what is free margin.....

yes ur right k hmein forex mein physical work nahein kerna parta.......laikein keep in mind k physical work asan hota hai laikin laptop ko le ker baithna ziada mushkil hai ghanton....owr wo bhi aik qism ka saari umar k liya.......kun k lagataar bhaintna sehat k liya nuksan-deh bhi hai...owr apni eye-sight bhi disturb hoti hai.....so i think that forex is much harder that physical job..........
