this is better to trade in the long term trading as i think this is less risky than the scalping. although the traders who have very good idea in market trend, can make money by scalping. when we will trade in long term trading we need to follow these few basic things, and if we follow we will get the success.
we need to trade with skill, if we have no skill, then the demo trading will be the first option of learning.
after being prepared for the real trading we need to trade with low investment with low lot size as this will give us less losing.
we have to trade without the greed, and
finally we need to trade with patience.

very nice thread i like it and appreciated this type of threads which increase our knowledge and i am new here at forum and i seek many things from this forum like this type of threads but as concern of answer of this thread i am not able to give clear answer until i seek this completely.

if you want to do long term trading so the best winning formula is that you should have big amount in your trading account as a capital and then you can take a risk of long term trading and I think in long term trading there is always a good profit.
