Which brokers are good those charge commission or those charging spread?

There are some brokers which dont charge spread, but they charge some commission which may be fixed or as per no. of lots traded, while others charge spread. Which you think are good?

I think begineer should try trading with stable pair such as USD/JPY which have a less range, but the consequency is getting bore while waiting the target.
