in fact it depend on the deal , if i'm sure the market will move as i expected i do trade risk 10% but if i'm not sure
it might be 2% or higher than that , but when i use big risk i always feel so afraid and some times lose with even small movement

Risk analysis are very much important, and when ever you are placing an order you are going for a risk so you need to learn that you will go for the risk only on that amount that you can afford to loose, so trade with the low volume and you will be secured more.

a trader should fixed his risk amount so that he should not take much risk with the account capital. So a trader if take the risk 1 percent then he should take the reward for the trade is 2 % that is the risk reward ratio for each trader
