Drawdown is the difference between the balance of your account, and net balance of your account. The net balance takes into account open trades that are currency in profit, or currently in loss.

If you account net balance is lower than your account balance, this is called drawdown.

Yes i agree with u brother. A drawdown is measured from the time a retrenchment begins to when a new high is reached. This method is used because a valley can't be measured until a new high occurs. Once the new high is reached, the percentage change from the old high to the smallest trough is recorded. Drawdowns help determine an investment's financial risk. Both the Calmar and Sterling ratios use this metric to compare a security's possible reward to its risk.

Draw down is stop out level and some brokers are have limit on your orders so that's mean if your order will be down from selected limit then your order will be closed automatically.. so this is draw down and mostly this is using on competitions in demo trading..

my understanding of the word drawdown is that, the drawdown is the amount of loss incurred in the course of trading the forex compared to the gain.
