I think that question really depends on the person trading it. You can be successful with any investment vehicle. But it all depends on how you do it. You have a lot of people making money in stocks, options, forex, futures, real estate, etc. And you have a lot of people losing money as well. So it all comes down to how you manage your account and your trading strategy. I lost money the first two years that I started trading options. If I had stopped there, then I probably would have said that options don't work. But, I educated myself and modified my strategy and now I love it. It's what I do for a living. So, once again, it all depends on how you trade it.
