    5. BAR CHARTS:
    6. Dear members bar charts hamen prices k bary main 1 bar ki shkl main information dety hain. Bar aik vertical seedhi line hota ha jo k price movement ko show karta ha.
    7. jb k bar k right side py opr 1 horizontal short line hoti ha jsko bar ki right arm bhi kaha jata ha ye bullish bar main closing price ko show krti ha jb k bearish Bar main opening price ko show karti ha.
    8. or bar ki left side py 1 hotizontal short line hoti ha jo k left arm khlati ha.Ye arm bullish Bar main opening price jb k bearish bar main closing price ko show krti ha.
    9. Bar ki arms k opr or nechy Bar ki length hoti ha jo k price k high or low ko show krti ha given time period main.

Re: Discussion about bar and line chart:

bar line graph is the graphical representation of data sets based on three parameters for different items/observations. The two parameters lying on the x-axis and the y-axis are used to plot the bars, while the third parameter is used to plot the line over the bar.

For example: the bar line graph given below shows the sales and profit of four companies named A, B, C, and D. The bars represent the sales of each company while the line represent the profit made by each company.
    bar graph

    Usage of Bar Line Graph
A bar line graph is used when we need to compare data on the basis of three parameters. Bar line graphs can be drawn for both continuous and discrete data. In case of discrete data, the bars are drawn with the help of the two parameters, while the third parameter is used to draw the line. If the values of two parameters are similar then a single axis can be used for both of them, but if there is quite a great difference in the measures of the two quantities, then you can draw two y-axes and one x-axis and plot the bar using one y-axis and the line using the other y-axis.

Bar line graphs are usually drawn for continuous data when the average of a bar is required. Such a bar line graph is also known as a Histogram. For example you can use a histogram to find the average weight of people belonging to a particular category.

If you are wondering that a grouped bar graph can be used in place of a bar line graph then you must know that bar line graphs are used in cases when the two parameters represented by the y-axis have completely different numerical values. In such a case the same y-axis can not be used to represent both the parameters. For example, if you have to draw a bar graph that represents the revenue of the goods in Rupees(crores) and the shipment of the goods in tons for 10 years. In this case, the x-axis will represent the years, and you will have to draw two y-axes, representing the revenue and shipment respectively. You can use the revenue as the parameter to draw the bars and shipment as the parameter to draw the line over the graph.

Bar line graphs are useful when comparisons are made over a large period. Or you can simply say that the parameter defining the x-axis has many values. In such a case drawing a grouped bar graph will be a tedious task, moreover it will be difficult and time-consuming for the audience to interpret and compare the given data.

How to draw a Bar Line Graph?
If you know how to draw a simple line graph and a simple bar graph, then you can very easily draw the bar line graph, because a bar line graph is nothing but a combination of the line and the bar graph. We need to draw a bar line graph when there are three parameters given for comparisons of the items/observations.

Out of the three parameters, one is a fixed parameter, for example time, so the fixed parameter is used to represent the x-axis. Now there are two cases for the other two parameters:

    Case 1:
If the other two parameters are measured in similar quantities then only one y-axis is drawn to plot the bars as well as the line representing the two parameters. For example if the two parameters are sales and profit, then only one y-axis will be drawn because both sales and profit are measured in rupees. Further, for any one of these parameters the bars will be plotted proportional to value given and for the other parameter the line will be plotted by marking points proportional to the value given and then joining those points.

    Case 2:
If the other two parameters are measured in completely different quantities, then two y-axes will be drawn on the two ends of the x-axis. The bars will be plotted using the first y-axis and the line will be plotted using the second y-axis. For example, if the two parameters are weight and height, then two different y-axes will be drawn because the weight is measured in kilograms while the height is measured in centimeters. So in this case you can plot the graphs for the weight and the line for the height or vice-versa.

    Examples of Bar Line Graph
Following are a few examples of bar line graphs:
