Should we move the stoploss much bigger on a losing trade?

Increasing the stoploss on a losing trade is the worse trading decision any trader can take. Instead of increase, I think a trader is betteroff closing the trade out right than hoping against hope that the market would show pity on him.

yes dear me ap se agree kerta hun k apko kabhi b stop loss limit increse nahi kerni chahiye.aur especialy jub ap ka capital small ho.ap is trade ko close kero aur doobara trend ko dekhte huwe trade ko strat kerein.kyon k kabhi b market per depend na kerein.

dear yeh stop loss ek acha tool hai and are khyal se hamain is ko apni har trade main he use karna chaye ta k hum is main high loss se bach saky....

in my opinion u need to analyze certain things and then see if increasing SL point can do any good for u or not i mean some times market moves up and down and if u close ur trade rather than increasing the SL than when it comes back it will make u feel bad so in my opinion if there is any chance we must wait and close our trade at right time.

Stop loss is a measure of money management. In that a trader decides as to how can he afford to loose in that particular trade. With this consideration he uses stop loss. Now he chances this setting in order to avoid immediate stop loss that means he has disturbed his money management plan and his original plan is no longer effective. In order to avoid smaller loss he has accepted a bigger loss. Too bad for this type of trader.
