I think it should take 4 to 6 months nowadays and nothing more. Just contend yourself with one pair and you will tackle the subject way more fast than you can ever imagine. One month for watching price action ... just look at your charts and nothing. A couple of months for finalizing your tools, strategy and trading plan.

As forex trading is too risky job so we must have patience and having good strategy in the market we can make positive pips in the market easily and become successful.
