< Let losses run, cut profits short! Why can't we do the opposite >

There's a famous saying in trading community that goes "Let profits run, cut losses short" but I see many of us do exactly the opposite. I keep widening moving my stop as they get bigger and bigger but this is not the case with profits. Is it because we are too sensitive to profit or because of improper money management? Don't tell me you always hold your trades until the final target
