Definition: Volume of trade

Hello, I'm new to the Forex market and though I have some difficulty understanding the terms used on META TRADER. Because when I decide to place an order I was asked to buy or sell but you must select a volume (0.01, 0.02, 1, 8, 10). It may be absurd, but I do not understand the volume, it means what?

the voluem size depnds upon your capital and the planing because if you ahve the low capiotal and you pace the bis volume sie so then tyou may got the loss and your accoutn may be ruined.. so if you are usingf the lot of 1:00 so it means that you are inevsting the 1$ on every pips frmo your account

volume hamesh utna hi rakhna chahye jis sy apko kuch profit to ho jae par bhot bara loss na ho or apko account wash hone ka daar na ho so i think ky 0.05 say above ka volume risk main a jata hy.

Definition of volume of trade is that you put thy leverage in a trade according to your capital and wants to ,cut your coat according to your cloth ,is caalled thy volume of a trade.....
