AAAAND here is a new looser! The market kill those who don't use STOP! Not early, but it will do it later. Sorry, using stoploss is the most important principle in trading.

if you are scalping...i think that is ok...no problem without SL...and stay away of big news....
but if you tradeing leave it for more than 5 hours better using SL....because we dont know the next move of price...sometime the government intervent the currency market...and make 100 pips moving....so becarefull

You aren't right. You have to use stoploss EVERYTIME you enter the market. There is no relation between scalping and not using stoploss. Just because you are scalping it doesn't mean the market can't go against you,(even when there is no highimpact news) and do enormous losses. Not to mention you can never known when the government want to intervent, and not to mention you can never known when comes out a random high-impact news. (maybe you checked the calendar for that day, but you can NEVER know when comes out a non-expected news.)
You remember last year when GBPJPY and all JPY pairs moved around 1000 or more pips just in a few days? Or to mention a newer around this year sometime the market went 500-600pip in one direction in just one or two days. (EURUSD and EURJPY as i can remember).
What if you scalped in those moments without sl?

In a long run, sooner or later you will loose all your money. This is the bloody truth of using NO stoploss. You can trust me, you will fail if you don't use the stoploss order. I have made the same mistake in the beggining, and the situation made me sad!

I think you do not have to set stop loss, but this way you have to sit next to your computer and see the graph, but if you set it you dont have to be on guard. All in all if you have a lot of time you do not have to set stop loss, but otherwise you should.

ts wrong. What if are on WC, and unfortunately in that second the market gone mad? Or what if the connection between you and your broker crash, and in that moment market gone mad again. Maybe sounds weird but it can happen ANYTIME.
STOPLOSS. In any situation. It protects your capital.

i agree with stockwalker, it is in our own interest good to use stop loss option to prevent the wipe out of our account balance. morever we are not going to loose anything by setting this.
till now i whatever i have traded in my demo account all are without stop loss , but still i got profit and no loss, but i know same is not true with real account, because of less account balance.

I have blown two trading accouns in four months, simply because I didn't use stops. But now I have learnt. I rather not enter the trade at all than not using stops.

Around one year ago there was a gossip that US broker's will won't honour using stops. And then somebody said its no problem because we can use hedging (buy\short order instead of stoploss). When hedging you open two positions a long and a short to secure yourself. So you mean hedging under "try to use opposite directions as locking... "? Or what? :q

You know, *****ng regulations. For example the other gossip, which was that every US broker will provide only 1:50 leverage. Fortunately, none of them happened.
