It is desirable to have as mush capital for the trading as possible. this helps the trader to trade a little freely. $ 250 is a reasonable amount to start trading. But the trader has a very little at his disposable to loose and still carry out trading with the same liberty of action and he will run short of the capital very soon.

Yes i think its quite good amount to invest and we can get good profit from it if we utilize it in right way and use our knowledge and analysis to make more from this amount by taking normal risks and move step by step.

One may not it a good capital but it is certainly sufficient enough to start trading. If we call it a small investment then the trader with small investment has to be very, very careful about the money management. He must avoid bigger lots, trading in gold, silver and oil. With these precautions he can survive in the trading for longer duration.
