And I guess the 62% fib at 1703 would be another option. Why would retest of resistance not be a good place to go long here?

It's got similar momentum to silver. I guess if trading multiple lots, you could trade from all these levels, but in your presentations, you refer to single levels

Separately, if going long on a retrace to 1703, would you place a stop under the low at 1673? Or would under the 76% fib be sufficient?

you can consider to work with multiple lots as long as you stay consistent - the reason for why I don't use them is because I look at many markets at the same time so I am bound to get a good entry of one of the many markets I cover.

When you have a strong trend and its far to the next low (but also far to the next major resistance level) - then using the smaller time frames is useful

are markets where it worth while using the smaller time frames. So I would use say the 30 min or 1 hour time frame and pick the major lows you see in those charts as my stop loss levels. Lows/highs created at the London open and New York open tend to be the strongest.

Regarding EURJPY: I was short from break of support at 106.08 like you suggested. Now price has reached a morning low at pivot S2 and is likely to retrace 68% to 106.40. So I've taken profit and set a short entry at 106.40 and an OCO order beneath this morning's low. How does that sound

It depends on what you want to do - you got a good entry so I would have keep it to 104.50. Its also way to early to close a position

am sorry to hear about your loss. Usually, a weaker dollar and higher risk assets mean a higher gold price. There is something different about the markets

Why when you draw the trend line do you not connect the price highs? When I do this, I get the following chart, which

shows price hasn't yet met the neckline?
