I think this is one reason why so many traders, as according to statistics, are losers. They fail to see that although the opportunity exists to earn high return, there is also the risk at the same time that they will lose the same high proportion. They are not aware of or do not practice money management. Consider that the future is always uncertain. Many things happen all over the world that affects the financial world. You would not know whatever may happen in the near future. The risks goes with it.

We can understand why profits would make people more confident, however confident at large doses would make people start taking silly risky thinking they are super heroes. There is a saying heroes dies first. That is why there is suppose to always to have trading plan, whenever happens you are suppose to stick to it.

If you do then you should not stray to far away from your success. Win or lose we should stick to our trading plan, (unless you are losing too much, then discard it) so you would not do funny to sabotage your trading success.

Confidence comes from repetitive accuracy and excellence in carrying out a particular task in this case forex trading. When such a task involves more skill than energy, then confidence will set in.

To have successful wins over a period of time is not sufficient to say that a trader can be confident. It is when those wins continue on a consistent basis that a trader may want to consider the confidence attribute. More often than not, most traders lack confidence.
