trade in one pair vs trade in many?

In my view it is a matter of choice and preference of a trader, although it is important that a new trader should be limited in choosing the pairs because of risk factor. There are so many currency pairs, which are being traded in Forex market. It is also noted that there are some pairs, which are traded in large numbers. The currency pairs of US dollar, Great Britain pound, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar and Euro are well-known. The main reason behind this due to their strong economies.
